Paul Jones is founder, co-chairman, chief investment officer and the controlling principal of Tudor Investment, which he formed in 1980. He is a portfolio manager focusing on discretionary macro trading and is a principal risk taker for Tudor's flagship fund strategy.

Jones is a member of the Commodity Exchange, the ICE Futures U.S. (formerly the New York Board of Trade) and the New York Fed Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. He served as a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association from May 2010 through December 2011, as chairman of the then New York Cotton Exchange from August 1992 through June 1995 and was instrumental in the creation of its Financial Instrument Exchange.

His philanthropic service includes founding and serving as former chairman and current board member of the Robin Hood Foundation, director of JUST Capital Foundation, as well as current advisory, chairman, director and trustee roles with a number of not-for-profit, educational and other charitable organizations. Jones was awarded an honorary doctorate for his achievements in business and philanthropy from the University of Glasgow in November 2014.

Jones holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia.
