-U.S. crude prices are down almost 2 percent and now at the $43 a barrel level. That's near a seven-month low. Natural gas is back below the $3 mark.

-Gasoline prices fell another penny overnight to $2.28 a gallon, national average. That's 4 cents down from a week ago today.
