Jeffrey H. Aronson

Jeffrey Aronson co-founded Centerbridge Partners in October 2005 with Mark T. Gallogly. Together they oversee and have ultimate responsibility for the firm's investment activities and serve as members of the management committee. Aronson has been active in credit, distressed strategies and special situations for nearly 30 years and has been deeply involved in many U.S. and overseas restructurings.

Prior to co-founding Centerbridge, Aronson was a partner at Angelo, Gordon & Co., where he led that firm's distressed securities and leveraged loan efforts. Before joining Angelo, Gordon & Co. in 1989, Aronson served as senior corporate counsel at L.F. Rothschild & Co. He began his career as a securities attorney with the law firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.

Aronson is chair of the Johns Hopkins University board of trustees and a member of the board of trustees of Johns Hopkins Medicine and New York University School of Law. Aronson received a BA with honors from Johns Hopkins University and a JD from the New York University School of Law.
